To further improve the availability of our payment platform, our datacenter network infrastructure has recently been expanded and upgraded. We will be updating the configuration of our core networking equipment to increase redundancy.
Thanks to the redundant nature of our network, no impact to the availability of our platform is expected during this maintenance effort. Of course we will be closely monitoring the availability of our service nevertheless.

We experienced a delay in webhook calls as well as updates to the payment status visible in the Dashboard. This affected our merchants from 14:40 until 15:40.

All webhook calls and payment status updates have since been completed and all systems are operational again.

Update - We have tracked the problem down to the iPhone app of the affected issuing bank.

Monitoring - Due to a malfunction at one of the iDEAL issuing banks, the signing mechanism for iDEAL redirect URLs from said issuing bank was broken. Other issuing banks were still working correctly. This prevented customers from returning to the merchant websites after payment.

Payments were still processed by our systems, but customers were not redirected to the merchant website.

We have updated our applications to deal with the malformed signing. We are currently monitoring the situation and reaching out to the affected issuing bank.

Monitoring - The outage at our upstream Bancontact payment provider has been resolved. We're seeing an increasing number of payment requests proceed as normal, but we'll continue monitoring the situation closely throughout the evening.
